I am a recent Chapman University Graduate where I received my B.A. in Theatre and B.S. in Business Administration. At Chapman, I found my passion in directing. This is where the skill sets of being an artist and business person have come together to support me in the role of director. I work as a director, choreographer, and teacher for children/teen theatre programs. I have directed a variety of productions including Guys and Dolls, Bye Bye Birdie, Newsies, and The Yellow Boat. While being a student and working as a director, I have continued to train in vocal technique and a variety of dance styles. As a performer, I recently played Lorna Stockman in Torrance Theatre’s Production of Paragon Springs. I have worked on several pieces which have taught me to use theatre to inspire, teach new perspectives, and raise awareness. I am eager to continue using theatre as a powerful force for understanding.

My Philosophy

Theatre is the study of empathy. I am a continual student researching the ways I can understand and create empathetic art. To be a theatre artist is to open the hearts of audiences to the experiences and perspectives of other human beings. For the rest of my life, I will be studying how to be an empathetic artist.
